In Kerala Athirappally Water Falls is one the most attractive Tourist Spot. At the entrance of Sholayar range, Athirappally Water Falls is a high waterfalls (80 foot high). You can easily go to Athirappaly from Chalakudi by bus or in a private vehicle. Chalakudy river’s part is Athirapally Falls. You can see this famous falls in the Tamil film – Kamal Hassan’s Punnagai Mannan. Now Mani Ratnam’s “Raavan” Shooting is going on near Athirappally Water Falls.
Another important and popular waterfall here is Vazhachal Falls. This is very near to Athirappally. You can see the green forest and spend your time in the picturesque spot. The clam and cool misty water coming in the back drop of thick forest is mesmerizing you. The atmosphere here rejuvenates you and gives you freshness. I heard a lot about Athirappally Water Falls I have never visited, but I think when i get a chance i should. I think athirapally and Vazhachal are twin waterfalls, i heard like that, any way nice post.
