ALAI DARWAZA: The World's magnificiant Gate is Alai Darwaza. In Delhi near Qutub Minar in the south-east direction a big gate called Alai Darwaza stands. This Darwaza was built using red standstone with ornamental design is a superb sight. The Alai Darwaza is not only the most beautiful structure at the Qutub Minar, but is one of the most beautiful specimens of external poly chromatic decoration not merely in India, but in the whole world, while the carvings of interior may challenge comparison with any work of the kind. From floor to ceiling the the walls have 47 feet height. Thickness of the Walls is 11 feet. There are two windows closed by massive screens of marble lattice work at each corner of the building.
